International commitments to equality must produce measurable improvements in the daily lives of religious and ethnic minorities.

Denmark received 265 recommendations in its Universal Periodic Review, of which it accepted 174 and noted 91 (outcome figures reported by CAP Liberté de Conscience).

Our priorities

  • Comprehensive anti-racism: explicitly address anti-Muslim discrimination and protect every community exposed to racism.
  • Housing and equal treatment: scrutinise the impact of the parallel societies framework and origin-based classifications.
  • Freedom of religion or belief: ensure equal protection for religious minorities and people with non-religious convictions.
  • Inclusive education and asylum: promote human rights-based education and better understanding of non-religious asylum seekers.
  • Implementation and accountability: publish clear indicators, provide effective remedies and involve affected communities.
Equal dignity. Accountability. Protection for all.
